those of you who have lowered an E series...pref EL's..
what type of springs do you currently have on your car. I took mine into the shop today and they said they could only fit lows to the front and superlows to the back without having to tuck the guard or some s**t... superlows is possible for front but would be pushing it. Does this sound right??... i was really hoping for ultra lows but the shop said tucking the guard is not worth it |

Tucking the guard will cost u anywhere from 50 to 100 a side, its easy as and any pannel shop will do it,

got super lows all round and i run 17s all round and
there fine

I run 16's with 235's and lows (not super).
i had to roll my guards cause my front tyres were shredding. BTW i drive like an old woman.

got ultra lows all round, on 15s no probs once i put the 20s on had to tap the little lip up on the front gaurds

I have superlows front and ultra lows rear sitting on 15's with a 215 tyre and have no scrubbing problems and the gurads have not been touched.

well the way king springs work are
low is 25mm/1 inch super low is 50mm/2 inch and ultra low is 75mm/3 inch

king springs come in a much larger range than 3 sizes!!
superlows should be fine on the front of an e series. you may get the occasional scrub but nothing to worry about.

i recomend superlows and roll the lips on the front gaurds.
rolling the gaurds shouldnt cost any more than $50 a gaurd so $100 for the front gaurds. i have custom made springs that are best discribed as ultra lows and i rolled the front gaurds but didnt touch the rears. i have 235/45r17s all round. if you have 255+ tires on the rear i recomend rolling all round.

my el has super low kings all round,super low struts and shocks,235/40r18x8,custom billets,and full evo3 ford nolathane kit,
has never scrubed or scraped once. just steer clear of potholes and high parking kerbs |

Well I personally would go with low fronts and super low rears. Mainly because it isn't too low and levels the car out a bit more. The lower it is, the more headaches around speed bumps, pot holes, drive ways and jacking car up...especially with a trolley jack.
Though I have been told I can fit super low all round with 17s without any problems...but that's what I've heard. phong =P~

I have an el fairmont lookalikeghia, king springs superlows allround (rear heavy duty), ultima shorten shocks all round (rear heavy duty), k-mac camber kit, 15" 225 tyres and i have 2 alpine subs in custom vented boxes (adding weight).
My car sits level, where the front still has a small gap between the tyres and the rear with a full tank of full is just under the guard. Nice ride quality, no bottoming out, no wheel to arch scraping. Iv even driven over speed humps up to 55kmh, depending on which speed humps and thats where only the passenger side of the car hits the hump (all sweet) otherwise full car on hump at up to 55 is insane.

i got superlows all done by a pro sittin on 18's and all mine tyres are under guards no scraping on speed humps ect.. i got the camber castor kits aswell, its still nice to drive round
