Hi everyone, Im trying to find on of those EA ED XR series dovetail spoilers (the one that sticks out behind the boot lid, not above it) to go onto my EB Fairmont. As well as a new EB 2 Fairmont boot garnish and the front lip extension that goes on the front bumper. Any help would be massively appreciated. I live in Nth QLD.

i've got one, but it's pretty cut up (ie: i've taken about 6 or 8 wedges out of it)

was going to try and mould it to fit an EF, but i've since discovered better ways of doing it and lost interest.

you'd need to do some serious repair work on it.

if you were genuinely interested, i could take some photos for you.

Ummm yes they did mate. My old man owned a red, late (1990) EA S Pac with a 5 speed manual and the Multi point EFI motor. At the time he was the second owner from new. He bought it from our neighbour (being the original owner) and he still had the order sheet in the glovebox with the factory fitted dovetail spoiler and front bumper extension. I think you may possibly find they were an option as I remember seeing them on just about every second EA back in the late 80's early 90's. You need to remember that Ford were a lot more relaxed back then in regards to what parts went on what car. Just look at the RPO 83 for an example. There may be an official 'date' when the parts became available but I would hazard a guess and suggest that the early ones were pre production, test the water exercise.

Go back to an old Wheels magazine about 1989 I think. Ford had an advert for an EA s pac that looked similar to this one....

Image

...just without the sunroof. Basically thats what the old mans Falcon looked like as well. They were out there, they came out before the EB. I cant find the original Ford ad for the car. I used to have it in my collection of Wheels and Street Machine mags but they all died last year when the roof decided it wanted to let the rain in one night. Either way, I want one for my EB but Im not paying 200 f**k dollars for one cos they are not worth that much.

Positive. They have Ford cast into them underneath. And it wasnt an SVO ad either, it was Ford australia. It had a picture of basically that red one above, it didnt have the sunroof or the louvre on it, but I think it did have that funky bi-plane wing/louvre sort of thing mounted high up on the rear screen like what a RS500 Sierra had. Incidentally I saw one of these (the funky bi-plane thing) a few weeks ago sitting in a paddock, Might just go and get it one day.
