I want to remove the backs of my mirrors on my ED so I can paint them but I can't seem to get them off. Is there a trick to removing them without breaking them?

I did this the other day.
What I did was bend the mirror slightly back towards the car and wedged a thin blade behind the actual removable backing and the mirror itself. I slowly levered it up to undo the clips at the front and then worked my way around the top to unclip those. Once one side is unclipped, the casing will come loose. But yeah, be careful as you can scratch/dent them easily. |

yeah just mask it, n cover everytiung around it....
clean it...spray it.....clear coat it..and bobs your uncle:) - Ash
