is it true that recaro designed or made the front seats of the EB/ED XR/ Mont ghia seats?.

to look at them they look like racing seats and i have heard a few people say that this is the case but i would like to know for sure.

yeah i think it is something along them lines... the EB Ghia EBXR6/8 (the XR are trimmed like s**t spac ones) the EDXR6/8 (are trimmed nice) and yeah the ED Ghia are the same seat pretty much..

But there are a few different trims
Leather..
Leather .. Cloth insert..

EB XR dark grey.. light grey red vynl bits..

and yeah these are what have observed from pictures ebay and car shows..

Yep, I found them pretty good on my recent trip up to the Banana State and back.

Now I am not a small chap by any means, and these seats still are comfy. I have tried to sit in some sport oriented seats and they are just too small. These are great.

Hey Bunter, where are the pics? Do I have to put some of mine up?

So the question is, did Recaro design the Front Seats? Common rumor says yes, but does anyone have some supporting evidence?

Ford did use SCHEEL (spelling ?) seat in the ESP range on the XE (at least) so it would not suprise me if they used Recaro on other models. I have these seats in my EB but are full leather (no cloth insert).

The full leather are a lot harder to find as I think they were an option on the Ghia models. I did see a Ghia Wagon with the full leather.
