It has the eb grille but, and the eb grille wouldnt have existed before the eb was made, so its probably a retro fitted C pillar mould

Also, EB rear garnish, and EB rear lights :)

well noted. these pics are of the djr built supercar prototype, the rules having been finalised in oct 1991. note the sierra in pic 1, absence of competitors and the crowdless backgrounds in pics 2 and 3. i don't know if it started life as an ea, but the pics of the car with a red tail in wheels june 1992 also show an eb tailgate. the different front bars, rear wings and rear paint work represent two different stages during development, red was mid 1992, blue was later in 1992 (source: another story in wheels later in 1992). the front air dam was changed again before bathurst 1992 in which glenn seton gave the eb its competition debut. also, the wheels used by the teams in competition were 5 spoke (rent a dvd & see footage).

d**k & jb won bathurst 1994 in eb build #3 from 10th on the grid, having won sandown '94 from on 15th grid. this car was totaled (in ef bodywork) by jb at the phillip island sprint round in 1995 but all its parts were put back into build #1 (i think), #2 having been totaled at bathurst '93. this rebuilt car is the one on display at djr now. (source: recent aus musclecar mag).

i went hunting in the collection at home and found an old wheels mag from '92 with an article comparing the d**k Johnson cars. That is the new eb with the old tru-blue xd. awsome article. before that in the mag, and the cover story, is a big thing on the eb xr6. and reading that, i think i want one now. bad.
