in factory holes? or do you have to add holes. also what happens if you've had your guards rolled?

no factory holes you have to add them.
if your guards are rolled it makes it more difficult but they could be glued in place.

useless if guards are rolled. there wont be anything for them to grab too, and if you NEED the rolled it because your tyres take up that space. so the first bump will see your tyres smash them off and most likely under the rear tyres @100kph

Not completely useless because you can still have the look of them and even if you trimmed most of the mounting area there would still be enough to glue them on.
If the tyres were to grab the lips then they would be scraping the guards anyway.
They do not add any clearance they are purely cosmetic.

isnt this the reason why guards are rolled in the first place?

Yep guards are rolled for clearance but the lips can be added to rolled guards for the cosmetic look if thats your taste. but they wont add or take away any clearance.

Not really, thread mining consists of digging up old s**t and making a useless random comment or continuing an arguement, in this case it was revived and the original OP actually replied with further info.

Double fail from Mr Bartko...
