i got an idea last night. eyelids as seen on ricers and the such.

i made an attempt today using clear contact the S!@T you get from officeworks. i put the contact straght onto the headlights and cut of the unwanted area with a stanley knife.

i then stuck that peice of contact onto some cardboard and cut around it
this is now my template

i traced around these templates onto some more contact sheet making the peices needed.

time to paint.. using primer many thin coats of colour-matched paint and clear coat.

they are ready to go on, this is a grooling precise process involving time and patience, but once on the joy is all yours i wasnt as happy as i thought id be but im going to be making different types shapes and so on.

QUESTION NOW IS.... IS THIS TOO RICE?

I would be curious to see how it actually affects your visability at night..

Although not my style, it is a fairly good job.

Just need to cut a little straighter :)

youve done a got job putting it together and all but to me the thing looks like its half a sleep. maybe if the eyelids angled down a bit more to give it that mean sorta stance it would look good. but as thay sit now theyre not mu cup of tea

I agree with the dude who says it looks like a vr/vs, if you are that worried about night vision, there are plenty of brighter bulbs out there. I commend you you the work you put into the eye lids though

Obviously you don't drive an EF/EL with the plastic (polycarbonite or some crap like that) headlight lenses. Higher wattage globes can be put in em.
