Hello all I have not posted here before but have been reading this site for the last few months and found it a very helpfull site. Thanks to the infomation on here I have been able to to do a lot of work to my car. My big problem is the yellow headlights and the cost od going to an XR front. I have just found this web site that makes a twin headlight for EF and EL gli cars. Hope this helps some of you.

I do not have anything to do with this company what so ever other then the fact that I am a potetial customer

Regards
mick4l

Hi mick.

I assume you are talking about www.twinlight.com.au ??

They look alright IMO... i think you could make them look a bit better than the ones on the website...

Still a bit expensive for my liking... $650....

they're actually not to bad looking, I thought they only did the twin lights up to the ED. It would depend on how cheap you can get an EF EL XR front conversion for...

I think they all look pretty good except the AU ones (they are hideous). And I dont know about EF/EL but a brand new genuine XR conversion for ED from Ford is upward of $1600 or $1000 for a good used set up from a wrecker. So the $595 for the ED setup doesnt sound too bad.

Compared to a full XR conversion the EF-L lights aren't priced to bad, but IMO they look s**t in comparison (the excess gaps).

Is there really that much of a gap in them?

There was some guy selling new twin light set up's on ebay last month and they looked like el design and looked very good.
By memory he was asking $550 pair buy now option.

I came across this guy as was looking for a cheaper alternative for my left ef xr low beam light as ford want $215.
But these lights he has arn't interchangeable with gen ford.

They do have a projector low and normal hi as per xr.

hope this helps

Not a chance, at least not if the Fairmont or Fairlane in question is an EF/EL/NF/NL. Those models have slightly differently shaped headlights in order to accomodate their faux grilles meaning the Twinlight replacements (which are designed for the GLi/Futura) won't fit.
