Hey folks, just got a query on these tail lights.
I've done a search, but couldnt come up with much..anyways..
Theres this Fairmont on carsales.com.au with different style tail lights on.
Just wondering if any of you's have seen these, or attempted this before? It sort of looks like the persons gotten a stencil and painted over em.
Is this possible? Any flaws in this? It says its Mustang inspired tail lights.
Anyways, heres the link

Cheers,

i would say they have been masked and painted over.. and i reckon they look great on that car..

not sure about the legalities of this as you can proably claim it lowers the visibility of lights etc

but it is certainly do able..

give it a shot

I think I have seen that car in the northern suburbs and had a closeup look of the lights. From memory, when I ran my hand over it I felt tape cut out and laid over the tail light which is far more obvious when you get close to it. Looks better from a distance as you can't see the tape so clearly.

Doubt that'd suit any car unless it was either red or black... I highly doubt it'd suit my white EF :D

thats Chubbz's car. he is in the ESeries owners club but is now selling his car
his website no longer works which is a shame, its deffinately one of the nicest EF's .. and he's had it looking like that for years

the tail lights were masked up and painted at the same time as the car.
its very effective and looks real good in real life.

i've got pics if anyone wants any (PM me)
