How many people have done the front coversion and why did you do it?

Personally I fitted an EL Fairmont front to my Ef Falcon Gli - For me it was just a spur of moment thing - I had just purchased a body kit for my car, when I went to pick it up I was was offered all the parts to do the conversion in exchange for my old EF falcon parts.

Did the EFXR Conversion to mine a few years ago now (Brad also did his waggin few years ago too, before that Jase did EL XR to his ef too).

Got bored with my ef xr front, so put a el xr front and thats about it.. very easy to do , headlights/bumper/indicators (ef gli/futura bonnet fits).. thats about it!

well, was going to be more than happy with an EF XR front, but was able to pick up an entire EL XR front for a price i couldn't refuse... $600! so that went on this weekend just gone, and couldn't be happier - finally rid of those crappy yellowed headlights! :P

I love the EL XR fronts.

Only problem with doing them on a non-fairmont EL is having to replace the whole bonnet too!

argh.

Yeah when i get enough funds i plan on changing my Frontend over, i want an EL XR front insted of the EF. I can get a brand new one down here for under $600 painted and fitted

Will be good coz theres only three white EF XR6 in Victor and no white EL XR6!! Somethin different.

I reckon the EF XR front end looks way better. I'm not a big fan of that grille on the EL's, but thats just my opinion.

i agree the EF's flat front looks better than the ricer looking EL one.
i rekon it looks like a jap import with a dodgey body kit.
