Currently looking at these cars and have noticed that some of them have and some don't have the XR side skirts. Im guessing that the EL's came with them standard and that on the EF's they were an optional extra.

Can someone correct me or fill me in?

cheers

Lucky you

I have been qutoed a kit by a place in Lonsdale S.A, roughly $800-$900 including fitting and paint etc.

Thats for the side skirts, front and rear lower bits of the bumpers.

Not a bad price when i had the money, but i chose to buy a digital camera insted :)

Im hoping to find a cheap deal some time down the track

It's not much money, relatively speaking, and makes a huge difference. Check out the pic in my gallery, much more sporty.

Just a friendly word of advice. Have a look at the goods before you shell out your hard earned. A lot of manufacturers only use one layer of glass, which makes them very flimsy and easily broken. All the money you"saved" will go down the drain if you scrape a kerb and find a tear in the skirt and are faced not only with a repair job, but a repaint as well.
Buying body kits isn't like buying a TV and shopping around for the best price. There's a lot of junk out there.
Cheers, Bob

You can get these bodykits cant you, im guessing yours are good quality so how much would you charge to get the bodykit i described sent over my way?

I would of thought $800-$900 is a pretty resonable price, and as far as i know that place i was looking at getting them was supplying a good quality bodykit.

I know what your saying and i totally agree.

Bob, can you advise if its "the done thing" to have a kit painted prior to sending/fitting... ie if given the Ford paint code. Or is the possibility of colours being different to great?

Are the original side skirts and front and rear add ons for EL and EF xr8 available from Ford. I would much prefer to use the original than a copy. If so does any one know how much?
