Are you thinking about having the vents and maybe the airboxes on an exchange basis also?
Or will this be too much hassle to do? Cheers Sam

sam, im not sure whether i can modify a standard airbox lid and make that work with my scoop.
if i can i will just supply a template for you to mark onto your lid and cut it out yourself. i could do a changeover one if you needed it. otherwise i would sell a whole new custom fibreglass lid to suit your old vents you could sell on ebay, i dont need them thanks mick, all my vent/scoops will need a hole put in the bonnet if it's not an EF,EL XR6 or XR8 ok i'll remember that bonnet, incase i need to weld my xr6 cutouts into it to try the scoops out i have the mounting bolt frame all welded up today, im picking up the fibreglass gear tomorrow hopefully, just waiting on a call. 20kg of resin...+ a few metres of matting and cloth |

With the EF/L boot lip spoiler, do you have a mock-up or sketch or something to show us what you're planning? Just wondering how big it will be etc... personally I reckon the go would be to make one that is basically a modified version of the stock EF XR6 low-profile spoiler, with the "legs" removed and the bottom shaved off and moulded to fit snugly on the deck, but set toward the rear a couple of inches so it overhangs by about 30-40mm. Just a thought; I'm sure whatever you come up with will be great as your work on the scoops has already proved

ok, thanks again mick, i do have a spare boot, but im having issues with the guy that has it. he want's me to do more work for him but im not interested, he doesnt like paying...
metasaiah, thanks for your ideas. i have some plans in my head for the bootlip spoiler, it is kind of a cross between boxcar and ?? it will be about a 50mm extension from the bootlid and taper back on the sides to line up with the rear quarters, possibly will wrap around/over the rear quarter a bit. nice rounded lines but defined edges too. it will also need to be multifit, to suit both falcons and fairmonts. im happy i have a few interested in the spoiler. i've been keen for one ever since i bought the car 6 years ago. will be a month or so away, i need to get ontop of the scoops atm keep the thoughts/ideas coming though, it helps me out, and refine things a bit more. cheers craig |
