Gentlemen, this is the concept I have in my head. Below is a crude photoshop, but you get the general idea. I think, with the proper materials and workmanship it would look good. Just a one piece mesh part in the grill, but with no depth, perfectly to the endge of the grill surround.
Then the mesh piece in the lower part of the bumper, not inset at all, but right up to the border of the bumper hollow where the horizontal piece would formerly sit. Obviously a costly, difficult, and time consuming idea, but it's just one I have in my head. Below the the concept photoshop is the sort of mesh look I'm trying to depict in my photoshop.

And very difficult, hehe. If I was to do that (in my dreams), I may allow up to half a CM of depth for the mesh. Because I know it would be veryyyy hard to get it right to the edge of the grill and bumper.

Grill Idea is great. As upgrading to another ford one can be costly anyway(EL fairmont just sold for $150 on Ebay all the way up to the $1100 I got quoted at ford for an EL GT grille) I think doing the bumper too possibly looks a bit much though.

Well I do want to buy an EF Fairmont grill and have a play around with that at some point. Then MAYBE after that I'd give the lower mesh insert idea a ponder. Cheers for opinion.

I'm going to pick up a grill from a wrecker soon so I can have a play. Thanks for the feedback guys, and yeah I know the bumper bit would be really difficult to make it look good. But if you coulddd, o ja!

Looks good because jags are owned by ford. They are nothing special, just a flashy mondeo

the x type is based on the mondeo platform. the xj shown aboveis not. its all new and is awesome think it weighs less than a falcon as they used aluminum for pretty much the whole body

The grille looks very FBT, I like it lol
The bottom bit would be ok, but the effort n attempts to get it perfect wouldnt be worth it imho. ps, i love the XJR x350, nothing to do with a mondeo!!!!
