HIDs are better than the standard globes for heat so don't worry.

melting of the lese is dependent on what globe you choose to run.. ive run a high wattage pair before and found out te hard way.. (extra heat = melted lense's)
as far as i know.. they would have to be custom made... there's no raedy made glass replacements as of up to now.... |

HID's run brighter with less heat.
Problem is the E series headlights they can't seem to project the light. Sure, they'll be heaps brighter, but don't expect a great increase in visibility. And the polycarbonate will be fine with 6000k, 8000k etc. 100watt halogens will affect the lense/poly. 8000k is kinda purple tho.. 4500k is much better.. imo

yeh that nasty yellow stain that magically appears on the polycarb. you can get them cleaned for about $60 a unit and they give you a paste to apply to them every 6 months to stop it from reoccuring.

Or you can follow the completely destroyed tech doc:
http://www.fordmods.com/forums/documents.php?doc=58 and do the pair yourself for around $30
