Hi

I think you need to explain more just what you mean.

Some pictures would assist.

It sounds to me like you are thinking you can lift the body off the chassis and then put in onto another? Which of course you can't do as it is a monocoque car. Or are you going to cut and shut it?

the rear quarters are welded on.

you would have to cut it off where ever you need and weld it on the new one.

all of the body parts are spot welded on to a subframe .to get the parts off this subframe you will need to find the spot welds and drill them out with asuitable sized drill.you will also need atig or mig welder to weld the pieces back together.,which is bloody near impossible without warping the metal. are you an experienced welder ?

Sounds like a job for the panel beaters

I doubt a p/beater would touch it unless he had no work.or you had lots of money . im sure if you asked a p/beater how much he would tell you to buy another car and swap your parts over.

Post a pic with how bad the damage is, then people could help give you advice on what you should do.

yeah i have gotten rid of the old one after my friend a panel beater told me it was pointless to fix. I still want to modify the bck and front of my working fairmont. Any ideas how to take off the pieces and where a good body kit can be bought from.
