Gday everyone, i have a 98 model EL Futura and im sure everyone knows of the problem of that little back window on the side - the rubber deteriorates
I got the car last January, the rubber was fine, the whole car was in surprisingly good condition.. But 12months later, the car being in the sun on one side every day, the rubber has deteriorated a lot on the footpath side but also on the drivers side. I guess this is caused by the sun and possibly from the use of the chemicals used in touch free car washes (says my dad who imports car wash equipment and chemicals) -He also says to avoid touch free car washes -harsher chemicals and it doesnt clean your car properly anyway So i imagine i can goto the wreckers and pickup a new set of the window rubbers, but will that be a lot of work, also i imagine the rest of the rubbers will go in a few years also. Is it worth forking out to get a whole new set from Ford? Whats my best option? Thanks in advance Cheers guys

Mate, it sucks, but short of painting your ones, you need to buy the whole window and rubber....they are one piece. I need them on one side of my GT...
