Hey guys,
Looking to get one of these but the picture i saw of it looks like it is only chrome around the outside and not the whole thing... obviously the part which is covered by the number plate won't be chrome but from the pic does it look like he rest is? I've eattached a pic of what i'm after and one of the surround i'm thinking of buying for reference so any help would be great. Cheers, Pat

Already got the fairmont chrome spear on the boot... I trust you guys when you sayit's the same but is it just me when it looks like it's only the outer lip of the surround that looks chrome?

Drill i think four holes on the boot where it mounts. You will see when you get it its at the back of it. Im doing it for my EF Gli as well.

I think you will have to take the spear out first. The spear goes over the number plate.

That's the one off ebay, yeah? It's up to $71 with a day to go... Is that really how much they go for? Maybe it's just me, but that seems insane...

lol, i got one for 20 bux, and one sold on ebay with a spear for 50 just before.
you dont need to drill anything to add them, or even remove the spear. the number plate screws hold it in place, and it sits pretty flush with the bottom of the spear. |

Hey, Its not had mate i think its just some nuts behind the boot lid about 4 or 5 for the spear. Unscrew and drill job for you as you don't have the holes for the number plate Surround.
Timmay, you can post a WTB on here some Forders might be selling and you may get lucky as i did. And they do go for a fair bit on EBAY, but you have to know that is "EBAY". As i said you may get lucky here.
