Really good stuff in here Nathanhrv,
I'm keen to see the chrome meshing in your front bar...
considering we have the same model.
I'm just lucky I have the green colour, so I didn't have to
muck around with around paint behind the grille.
I was going to put some mirrored PVC or something behind,
but I think it's come up decent how it is.

Cheers,
Russ.

What Chrome Insert? If you are talking about the chrome strip on the front abr insert, your car should have it if it is a EL Ghia

The bloke before me replaced teh front bar with a GLi bar, so the chrome is missing.
Just means I'll have to grab some later on

Yeah, I felt like a diick as soon as I posted it,
just couldnt be bothered changing it.

It's the Fairmont bar, opposed to the Fairmont Ghia bar, yeah?

I'm going to have to pick up a chrome one to match the rest of the car,
any idea on the price I'd be looking at?

Good luck trying to find one that isn't flakeing or faded purple. You don't really need to replace the whole bar anyway, just the inserts. What you should do is hunt around for the ghia inserst matching your body colour, then separate the faded chrome and replace it with new strips from ebay. Came up a treat on mine ;)
