Not sure what they put in ??? It was done by a mate at Pedders all I said to him was wanted to keep the fairmont ride as before the EL I had an XD wagon that was so low speed humps were a big NO NO!! When I went to pick up the EL before I saw it I was told he had dropped it 2-1/2 inches in the front and 3 in the back. So of course I thought oh s**t but as you can see from the pics it isnt that low. Only problem I had was the plastic mudflaps dragging on the ground going into or out of steep driveways.

Mudflaps should have been long off anyhow!

Have you had any problems with drive shaft rubbing?? I want to go 3" in the back and ssl in the front of my wags but I'm already having dramas with the low fronts and 2" blocks.

Nothing has changed with the wagon...just been taking it for some proper runs this week. Ive done two, 2 hr trips plus quite a bit of city driving (never usually gets this out in da country)....but i have to say its excellent! specially on the overtaking, traffic light take offs, rides very nice of 17s" etc etc...!!......go the stock six!
The cons?: bit too fuel consumative...... but to be expected.

Over the past week we've been experiencing some problems with the wagon. Theres a ticking sound in the engine, which we first thought might have been worn lifters but apparently they should have loosened themselves by now?
A friend has suggested in might be a bent exhaust valve In any case we're going to have to do something. Either engine rebuild or engine replacement? Theres an old bloke who has a fairmont ghia he wants to get rid of - the body is terrible and the tramission but apparently the engine is ok. Its got 250,000 km. (county kms) First of all - its a got a ticky 94AB. Should have a LSD - which I believe will fit into the wagon? Correct? Plus there are some various fairmont ghia bits and pieces that we could swap for the futura stuff. What do you people think?

Hold up! bloody hell! Dont get rid of the wagon yet. I HIGHLY doubt its a bent rod seeing as your motor is stock and should still be rev limited anyway... If its not just your injectors ticking away its probably just the stupid HLAs. Post a video up? Also are your spark plug leads in good nick?

Ok ok. thats the beauty of this site. Right advice at the right time.
I never thought about the video but here we go {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION} Yeh old man just checked the spark leads, one of them seems as so it might have been wrecked, so he took it out and it sparked him... It was coming from a different cylinder anyhow. Its also blowing a bit of smoke, along with some burnt oil found in the exhaust tip. Could you enlighten me as to what HLA's are ? Hydraulic lifters or something?
