First Start.

It's looking great! You've been busy! Love the Tickford engine in my EL Futura so you should too.
Has anyone answered your question about the speed sensitive power steering? If not, here we go! It's pretty simple to swap and get it working. You need to firstly change out the steering rack in your EL and put in the Rack out of the Ghia and plug it into the vacant wire on the side of the engine bay ( white plug ). Then install the Ghia ECU in replacement of your standard ECU and it should work! Something a little special as only EL Ghia's had the speed sensitive PS fitted! Are you fitting Climate control to your wagon too?

Are you fitting Climate control to your wagon too? Hi Ryan, thanks for taking interest in my updates. Ill have a go at putting in the power steering - I saw a lead there in the engine bay that I deduced was power steering. How hard is it to replace the steering rack tho? And The Ghia ECU is already in so! As to climate control, Ive decided against that. Just not quite prepared to spend the time and effort at this point in time. Ultimately, the current set up still works so that;ll be fine. Anyway, there are two things we still have to fix >> Temperature sensor - For some reason the temp. gauge will all of a sudden skyrocket... then return normal after a couple of minutes. >> Oil sensor - The engine has plenty of oil and no leaks. However the oil light is showing? This sensor is a pain to access. Need a deep 1 Inch socket i believe? Trying to source that currently. >> Loud ticking when motor starts but clears up after it warms up a bit - tappets? Lifters? What sort of job is it to fix these?

hey i just checked google/ebay..couldn't find bugger all lowering blocks?? finally managed to find these. thats about all
http://www.autopartsdirect2u.com.au/det ... +Block+Kit hey in end you're better of getting them reset. will only cost you another $100.00 and it'll be heaps better. seeing as your in syd, just duck into Pedder's! they'll do em. Not like me.... I have to wait for my next appt in a city 2 hours away! also recommend doing shocks. depending on the cond. of the car and cond. of shocks, you won't regret new ones.
