I paid $250.00 for my genuine (plastic) EL Tickford kit - came off a damaged Fairmont - I was just lucky as the wrecker I bought it off didn't know what it was worth.

I fitted the bodykit and the Fairmont front to my car at the same time and I think it cost me about $500.00 to get it all painted.

And it sounds like headlights are extra yeah?

I priced up an EL XR6 front end swap lights and all from Ford a few years back and it was around $2000 I think. And that was everything - lights and all.

The only thing we aren't talking are side skirts etc

Yep. The cheapest lights (new) I've been able to find are these

otherwise your looking at nearly a grand from Ford.

Plus you need an EF Gli, Futura or XR bonnet or an EL XR bonnet.

Well just by looking at his avatar it's an EF XR front so tell me why would he add just the lower skirts from an EL? Do you think he might have mentioned EL as so he can have a hole in his grill?
And all the talk about "lights and crap" was in response to Rik_Biel's question.

Yay - I have one of those

That Canberra Car styling price sounds excellent.
Can you link a pic of thecar wearing your kit Bob?

The reason I asked about the lights is because I would them too to do the conversion from Gli to XRGLi -

The Vennom kit is not a bolt on body kit it is FULL replacement bars, so the Front bar will be around $500 and the rear bar about $400, not just a $150 skirt. They look better than an added on skirt in my opinion.

so $500 + $400 leaves about $350 - $400 for the side skirts which seems a little high but pretty close to right.

thats a very tempting offer right there
i'd just like to clarify it tho, thats the front skirt, side skirts and rear skirt made from fibreglass unpainted? is that based on the EL XR kit or the EF XR kit?

cheers!
