Ok, now that we're getting into the darker time of year, I want to make my headlights a little brighter, better.
The standard ones are quite shocking... Which bulbs would you guys recommend I replace them with? Thanks! EDIT: I saw the other post on headlights...but I wasn't sure if XR6 are any different? |

really? the general spread on the XR6 is shocking compared to standard I found. I'm just looking to buy something a bit better than the "standard" bulb replacement... |

i think the GLi's are a bit (very slightly) better spread but the xr's are way better distance!! I'd much rather the XR lights.

just wondering what brand of HIDs I should be looking at and also whether you know of a website or something. I have an EL XR8 and I too have s**t lights even with plus 50s in the low beam I can hardly see the road around town and on the highway the high beam is just pitiful.

the issue for the poor light spread it that the headlights are set so deep in the bumper, they are better than EF XR lights though, but the bloody things pretty much sit inside cylindrical extrusions that dictate the throw of the light, the only way to better this is to bring the lights to the front of the bar like the rest of the range, there is then nothing to inhibit the side throw of the lights..
observation only.. but I think a pretty good one..
