OK - I have a low profile spoiler on my car and would like to know if its possible to change it to the bigger xr spoiler without leaving marks and rubbish on the boot lid..
Now, I was wondering if anyone has or has seen the EL XR6 Low profile spoiler swapped with the EL XR8 "Wing" spoiler, it has the larger fin in the middle which is why id like to upgrade.
To me it looks like theyd line up in the same points pretty much, altho im not 100% sure on the middle larger fin.
If anyone has any info on this swap or XR8 spoiler, please post up as its been on my mind for a while now. :P

Im pretty sure it can be done easy as :) Theres a place in adelaide where i can get a brand new EL GT wing in dynamic white for $180!!! Very tempting, thou it would mean i would have to get the rest of the EL GT kit so everything goes well 2gether.

180 for an el gt wing is cheap, no matter what the colour lol.
However i agree it is kind of like an unfinished project by itself..
Also it'd only suit some xr's i rekon, depending on rims, colour n stuff haha :P

i thought the LWB's had a different bootlid profile to the SWB's, and you couldnt use a SWB spoiler on it

Yep I did this when I got the body kit put on.
You will need to drill a new hole for the centre pillar mount as it has a mounting bolt in a different position compared to the low profile spoiler.(Further forward)
Also the mounting pads on each side of the spoiler have a slightly different profile to the low profile one.I will put up a pic tomorrow when I take one.
