Hey guys I am half thinking about maybe getting a venom front bar on my EL XR8. But I'm not real sure if the venom bar would match up to the EL XR Tickford side skirts. In other words I want to know whether the lip on the bottom of the venom kit would match up with the lip of the sideskirts on the other side of the wheel like my current tickford front skirt.

I'm pretty sure a few of you guys have done this so I was wondering if you could put up a few pics of side on shots or 3 quarter type shots that shows this.

Thanks.

yeah the venom front matches up alright, it's a little lower i think. IMO doesn't look as good as the ticky stuff though.

I have a venom bar on my car with the full ticky kit on. I don't think there is any problems with the bar matching up at all.

Mate your car looks awesome with that front bar and chrome strips. A bit off topic but did you notice much of a performance gain with the sequential scoop and airbox setup? Any trouble with water in the rain? Also where did you get the setup and how much roughly?

Thanks mate. I was just a little concerned with the pod getting wet when it rains. But with a little bit of fly screen to deflect the water seems to work. I get more water into the box when I wash the car tho :( just have to be careful is all.

As for performance I only put a cheap pod in as trial (water damage tests and stuff). So I can't quote any gains over the K&N panel filter. Just a little bit more suction noise is all.

I got my stuff off Fuzion a while ago but you should be able to get the scoop and lid from here.

I think I might look into the whole sequential scoop thing as I really struggle to see how the hell the air actually gets between the bonnet and the front bar to get into the standard snorkel. It just doesn't seem to be the best setup from factory that is for sure.
