i want my ef fairmont to sound louder as i have extractors and 2.5" exhaust

it has the rear muffler on it , an is it possible to take that of an replace with a pipe. does that make it then illegal

Change the muffler to a hot dog pipe, or a straight thru pipe. Duno bout legalities but will be louder

Yea nah they dont even know them self. You dont want it to loud cause if it is and someone reports ya to the EPA you have to have a test which you have too pay for.
If i were you prob jus go with a hot dog cause if your cause auto with a straight thru pipe they are prone to drone.

I have a 2.5 on my car extractors and cat only one muffler box.. haven't had no dramas at alll, been pulled over many atime for random breath tests and idiot patrols (you know the ones idtiot f**k wit coppers got nothing better to do)

but legally you need a cat and at least two resonators so a muffler box and a hotdog furfills these requirements.. (NSW any way (told by a muffler exhaust professional))

yeah, pull it out. mine doesnt have one and it pretty reasonable volume wise.

its not the actual removal of the muffler and replacing with a pipe that makes it illegal (this is why vicroads cant answer your question) but its the volume it makes afterwards.

Wouldnt it make it quieter if you put in a hotdog if you only started with just a single muffler???
