Hi,
Could someone let me know what size exhaust pipe is deemed to be a standard size. My vehicle is an AUII, I jacked the car up and found a few problems. The muffler at the back further at the rear (I assume resonator) has a few rusty holes and cracks showing. Muffler before live axle was replaced about a year ago and seems to have some rippling effect underneath. Spotted another hole in the exhaust pipe near the connection to the muffler. I went to MIDAS...they suggested replacing the two mufflers and pipe for $425.00..wow bit expensive I thought. Logan City Muffler shop said they replace all 3 mufflers and pipe for $265.00...still bit expensive I think for a 30 minute job. I can do the job myself provided I know what is the standard size. I'm not into sports system, too noisy for me, I prefer very quiet. I had a look on ebay but the seller could not tell me what size the pipes are as he just gets them already pressed...Good seller I thought not knowing a product that he is selling. Any advice is welcome. I reside on the Southside of Brisbane. If there is anyone in the Brisbane Region on this forum maybe they can have a squizz and tell me in a few secs.
