hi
believe it or not i have made an exhaust tip from an alloy tailshaft.. and after cutting the shaft i found that they have cardboard inside lol anyway what do you think???

hi
i sanded it with 600 wet & dry sand paper and polished it.. yea twin pipes would be ok but i dont think they would fit.. |

Whoa nice going and very nice polishing. Twin tips always looks good, but very limited on spacing. Thats a 3½ wide tip?
I hate the straight cut tips, they all should be angled |

If you used a 3R234602 HB or HC shaft (used on AU/BA/BF utes) you could have used the rear of it which reduces from 3 3/4inch down to what you have now 3 1/4 inch. You will find that the other end has a steel tube inside with rubber rings around it. Looks nice tho especially with the angled cut on the end, well done. Let us know if the alloy oxidizes from the exaust emissions.

ahh i didnt think about how well it will weather.. i guess if i keep it clean and polished it will be ok? |

looks nice. when tailshafts get old and worn out the cardboard unbonds fron the shaft and puts it out of balance, or it did with our 4wd so we got it taken out
