i have an FG R6 08 model ute, was wondering if putting a F6 Fiberglass replica front bumper on it would make it look like my ute was a try hard or do you think it would look nice? i can get one to suit the headlights for the R6. i am doing some mechanical mods to the ute as well, dont want to be one of those blocks that buys some mags and a spoiler and call it "done up". any way please leave your opinions so i can get a general feed back to what others would think.

fiberglass is s**t... especially for front bars...
- Crack so easy - Extremely hard to get panel gaps right - A lot of crap bodykit places around - Expensive to get painted because of all the prep work required Your headlights are no different from the F6 headlights... FG FPVs dont use XR Headlight (like the b series) i dont mind people putting bodykits on pov pack cars, so long as its done properly, that is what this forums about... but hey you didnt seem to listen or car when i said that ebay chip is a load of s**t so go for it Cheers Cam

true to the above.. but if you dont mind prepping it yourself.. (save money) and driving carefully in carparks and over speed humps.. (watch out for the parking concrete bump stops) then go ahead.. fit and finish will most likely need a bit of work compared to factory gear that lines up well with panel gaps..

In terms of fibreglass bumpers, it's not what it's made of but how it's made. My front bumper is fibreglass, I've scraped it on kerbs etc. and it has never cracked. It fitted like a glove right from the start with consistent panel gaps. It was obviously very well made, and is quite thick. The problem with a lot of fibreglass bumpers is they do them too thin. So basically fibreglass bumpers can be bad but not always.
