I want to put the new 19'' F6 typhoon rims on my EF. Can it be done without too much work or do i need to take offset and suspension into consideration for it to work?

you can actually buy the rims in the EL/EF offset from wheelmags on eBay, as for legality you cannot go anything bigger than 18" but that doesnt stop everyone.

not an xr6, but an ef non the less.. no clearance issues at all (no rolled guards) and running the correct offset legal? probably not, but i haven't been looked at yet, and im running a gt placard so hopefully if thats all the coppa looks at im sweet, ride hight and engine mods are another thing.. |

Do you have spacers behind your wheels?

For the millionth time, this is BS. NSW LAW: "The diameter of the new wheel and tyre combination can’t be more than 15mm beyond the largest diameter combination specified by the manufacturer for that car" MEANING: Use the appropriate sized tyre! 235/40/18 or 245 235/35/19 or 245 235/30/20 or 245 235/25/21 205/25/22 |

bf rims will not fit properly on an ef. you will need spacers, which i believe are illegal, or copies of the rims in an e series offset.

In QLD you can only go 2in larger than the largest rims offered from factory(16in xr6, ghia).

So then these guys putting 20's on must be have stock rims put aside for pink slip right? I would love to go 18 to 20's on my Nc, but they were 15's stock. I have had alot of drama's with 17's as they are rare to come by thats all. For example I have a Tj Magna with jap import 17 race wheels, but no spare. I cannot get a spare 17 with the pcd required anywhere. No tyre places will do it as they have said most guys go 18's so they dont really do 17's and to get one rim will cost me BIG TIME. Also wreckers never have 17's, Ebay have minimal 17's and the tradie is the same. As there are alot of cars that are 15's stock why is it so hard to get 17's? Its a genuine question mate, Im not being arguementative |

As far as Im aware, if the car had a option of 17's 9(gt) you can go to 19's, But be sure to know your cars, and years, as if a police officer asks you you can tell them the information needed,
just dont be a smart a** about it,
