Hey All,
Using all of my creative tallent I am looking a joining a BF F6 front bar and an AU XR II frontbar. From the members that did this themselves, how hard was it and what processes and materials did you use to do the job. Cheers.

don't just rely on fibreglass for holding the 2 bars together, i made some overlap and used rivets for some extra strength.
and my bars have copped a lot of punnishment.

So you lined the 2 bars up and riveted them together?
What did you use to reinforce the back of your bars?

theres a lot of work need to be put into a project like this..
if your willing to put alot of hours i mean alot of hours into it. go for it then. alot of fibreglassing, fibre filler, body filler, rivits, and a hell of alot sanding... its hard work but i ahd the creative mind and i jsut did it, spent the money i needed to just so i could get it done.. good luck

As the guys have said lots of work, and yes do overlap if and where you can and reinforce where poossible. I use Locktite urethane adhesive when I did my bars and I also use screws where I could. Just wait till you start filling and sanding, OOOOOH my aching arms. Good luck and I hope it all turns out the way you want. Good to see you taking the step.

i ended up making a full fibreglass mould of my front cause someone reversed into me and split it in 2 and broke all the mounts but it is alot of work and if you are prepared to get a little angry at times go for it cause the end result is awsome
