The best fix for this is sanding back till they are gone and respray

crows feet, where the paint has zigzaggy crackish lines thru it.. looks like its about to flake off etc.

is it possible to cut n polish it? take the paint back a layer ? or would this f**k it worse.. is it strange that its only affecting 1 panel?

It is possible that panel has been replaced/resprayed before you aquired the car. My bonnett was the same and tried cut and polishing it, using body filler worked for a little bit then the filler receded and it was the same again. So sanded back till couldn't see it and resprayed, hasn't come back and been 8 years since doing it

crows feet is caused by cheap product breaking down therefore you should sand until totally gone when you think they are gone use a prepsol soaked rag to wipe over and ckeck while wet with prepsol most times it is the primer or if other cheap paint underneath that causes the problem if you dont remove all the product that has caused it not only the area that is affected it will keep returning

You will find that usually with crows feet, they go right through to the metal.
The only way to fix this is a complete strip down of all paint and repaint the panel properly.

im guessing about 250 for the doors or maybe less if some professional does it. DIY job would work out cheaper depending how expensive paint is. its only a guess. my EA had crows feet all over the engine bay, bonnet and roof......sides and boots have been in accidents so its all nicely redone ;)

phong =P~
