hey fellas...firstly like to say hi...my name is nick and im in the market for a Ford Falcon BF, main reason is coz im a massive fan of the FPV range(mainly the gt and coz i am on my Ps i cant). my question is, if i was to purchase a Ford Falcon BF XT (Mk1 or Mk2 does it matter which mk?). Will i be able to convert the BF XT to look like the FPV BF GT? thus it means adding the full bodykit (decals included as well as sidskirts :D ), bonnet and the FPV style headlight. Will it all fit nicely together or is it not going to work at all?
EDIT: OH yeah forgot to ask...has some1 else done something similar to this before?
Cheers Nick

thanx for the reply guys...yeah i know its cheating....bt im not getting the badges...jst the side stripes and perhaps the bonnet decal (coz it will fit nicely with the fpv bonnet)...so get the mk1? wasnt there a mk2 fpv made as well? so the xr style headlights should fit easily on the xt mk1 model?

me and a friend were wanting to do this (just s**t kicking talk) we would get a ba or bf of and basically make it look like a force 8 but with a GT wing and alike

if you went with genuine parts youd almost be up for a gt anyway. the bars are a couple of grand, then the bonnet is about 1700, the side skirts, the paint, the labour.
dont want to ut you off it sounds like an interesting job. not my cup of tea but good on you. just research all avenues and costs before you start

There's a place here in Adelaide called Emtech Automotive whom are pretty good for this kinda thing. I enquired once about getting a full GT conversion and I was quoted about $3000, and that was supplied, painted, and installed.

This included Side skirts, Taller GT Spoiler, Bonnet with Buldge and Lower bumber bar with grill.

However, they use fibreglass parts and the guy warned me that it does snap and crack easily if you hit a kerb or go over a violent bump. That sort of turned me off the idea. As the previous poster said, do your research before sticking fibreclass bits on your pride and joy.

i think people will find that just recently the Aftermarket plastic stuff is on the scene and could make these issues a past worry

thats real cheap. i would jump on that because in the long run you can get it patched as you go. i like my ba xr6 as it is but it is tempting.
