Ford "TELSTAR GHIA 1989" 2.2lti To do up want any tips on fitting a tx5 motor and turbo to it any idea's also if i dont re fit new motor i want to fit exstractors and whole new line of exhaust system, Its an auto at moment second owner imaculate condition in and out whole body everything :evil: Any one else out there doing such a project or done any Telstar modifications Give me a shout out to seek advice as advice is priceless to a hard working young lad with mummys cheques to pay for a skyline lol :o :P :lol: P.S " IM A MAJOR MAJOR MICKEY & MALERY KNOX FAN"

Ummm ... the base TX5 has a 2.0L 4cyl ... and the TX5 GHIA has the 2.2L 4cyl as well. The TX5 has the 2.2L Turbo 4 cyl engine too.

The Telstar sedan came with the 2.0L and 2.2L engine ... but no turbo version though.

For the best performance you best bet is getting the TX5 turbo motor (same engine as the Mazda MX6 turbo engine if you are looking at engine importers).

I am not sure if the later model 2.5L quad cam V6's fit in the older late-80's shape Telstars though ... but if you manage to fit one ... you will need to se the V6 gearbox as well (as the 4-cyl box won't bolt up.).
