The EF shape ute your thinking of is called "XH"

Ford utes from XD are as follows:

-XD
-XE
-XF
-XG = very similar to xf shape, but ED running gear
-XH = has the EF shape front
-AU = obviously completely different

XH I had the ef front and the II had the el front. xh II xr8's are fairly rare, something like 600 made but definately one of the toughest utes.

heres mine, just a six though.

whats your budget?

personally i love the XH11's but the rear end of them put me off, so for me im going to get a au ute, with either a xr6 body kit from a au, or a custom BA xr6 front end (then u pretty much cannot tell its a AU and u get the newer look with the sohc motor...)

firstly, id like to see an ed sell for 7grand, even 5 k Lol

and yeah they are lighter in the back end, but you shouldn't have problems doing it in a sedan anyway..

Heres my XHII XR8.

The XR8's only came in XHII's (98-99) with the EL style front end.
