Hi guys,

I've finally settled on the body kit I'm after for my AU but I'm not sure what to call it, it looks like a TE50 kit but with XR headlights instead of the standard lights?

The AU's in the first two pics on this page have the kit, can anyone tell me what this kit is and possibly where I might find one, and how much they'd be worth?

Cheers.

That is called an XR50 bar and is available from AWC. $500 or so I think. Im not 100% sure on the price though.

Thanks Dansegli, looked at AWC on fibre sports and they have it for $550. http://www.awcinfo.com/secureshop/categ ... cat_id=299

Does anyone know what the quality of AWC kits is like?

Now I've gone and found another kit I really like, this one is sleeker, it's actually really nice http://www.awcinfo.com/secureshop/categ ... ?cat_id=92 3rd and 4th pics down.

Any opinions on which one you guys think looks better? My car is silver too so these shots are really handy.

Cheers.

They're s**t man.. i had an AWC series 2 XR kit on my last car and never again. Mine cracked and didn't fit properly, the exact same thing happened to a mate who ordered the same kit for his silver AU2. Also, another mate has the XR50 kit on his green AU and its cracked and doesn't line up in several places. Sylox also had heaps of issues getting the XR50 kit to fit properly on his ute and had to spend quite a lot of money to get it right. Theres also another guy on there with a white EL XR6 that had dramas with AWC stuff, and also i believe el_xr6_luke has had dramas too.

Are there any other options other than waiting for something to show up at the wreckers? Or is it worth the risk trying to fit the AWC stuff?

I'd hate to buy it and then find I've waisted my money.

Their stuff would be alright once fitted.. but be prepared to pay a bit to get the panel beater to get it to fit 100%.

They don't do many kits for AU's, only that brumby kit which is a copy of a VT kit.

I just had a look at Bobs website, there's really not much to choose from. Might have to rethink my plans.
