Quite simply, can it be done?

The query arises from the fact that I have some pretty shoddy paint work on my drivers door, a desire for electric windows, and an ED Fairmont I picked up for peanuts as a donor car. I know rear doors won't fit, and I'm willing to go through the hassle to mount the electric winders in the rear doors, but if it's just a trim replacement/swap job for the front doors after they're bolted over, then I think this is the best option. The other question I have is in relation to the doorlock actuators. Do the type 1 actuators, as mounted in the ED, work with the type 2 actuators, as mounted in the late EF's and early EL's?

I know there's a lot of information I'm asking about that has probably been covered, but I have limited browsing time, and you guys seem to really helpful with other people.

Cheers.
