Just wondering if the front bar nees to be removed to replace the indicators? from the look of it, you have to. But i just want to make sure..

Also on the front bar, circled in attached pic.... I want to paint this a different colour. What is the best way to remove, and paint it?
Is it help on by a couple of clips behind the bar? And also whats the best way to go about sanding it back and respraying?

any help would be appreciated.

cheers

BEN

no you do not have to take off the bumper to remove your indicators.

pop the bonnet and you will see a screw holding them in. they should come out, though, depending on if they've ever been removed before they might require a bit of force.

The screw holding them in is at the top, and it attaches to the headlight. It may be hidden by the end of the black cover across the front of the car.
After you have the screw out two bastard clips hold them in still towards the back of the indicator. The easiest way to get them out is to strike the indicator with your palm, pushing them forward. If they have never been out before, it will take a bit of force.

I've seen a picture of a EL Fairmont owner who has done that actually.
