Hey everyone my first post in Fordmods im usualy in the AFF but thought i might ask the question here..
i got a couple of 2" gauges today and nowere in shepp sells a dual gauge holder that bolts onto a bonnet.. my question is: has anyone here put the gauges on there bonnet and do you have pics of how you have put them on there? and were you baught the holder from? cheers troy

most people just use the Autometer gauge cups. they're not bonnet specific or anything, you can mount them anywhere you want - on your mom, bonnet, inside the car, under the car, where ever.

oh ok i had a look around today and there wasnt any (external) cups for them that was weather proof..
i.e that will stop water or moisture gettin in the cups.. would anybody on here be sellin cups at all? cheers troy

i.e that will stop water or moisture gettin in the cups.. would anybody on here be sellin cups at all? there not going to be sealed. there has to be a hole at the back for the wiring to come out. generally you put an o-ring around the gauge and then push it into the cup. and you need to fork out the big dollars for decent brand ones if your using them outside, such as the above mentioned Autometer ones so that they don't go rusty and turn to s**t. |

yeah autometer ones get em from autobarn ect and the hole in the back use a wiring gromet and a o ring the correct size as the gauge to seal the front

oh ok thanks for the help guys, i will go out today or tomorw and get some rubber grommets and some o rings and cups,
