Would someone kindly take some photos of their EFII Ghia, or EL Ghia (if their the same) of where exactly the ghia badges are positioned in the rear & two front guards.
Ive got a couple badges here, and want to attach them, and want it to look factory but not sure exactly how they sit !! |

ditched the original ghia badges long ago... these sit in EXACTLY the same spot..
 the original rear ones still in place

Its only cause i want it to look factory is why im so fussy i found a front guard pic as well on carsales, so i will start glueing badges on now.... does anyone know of a good adhesive that can come off without staining paint like silicone does?

I put my Ghia badges on with careful application of sikaflex. They havent budged, and have been there for ages.

yeah looking for something a little less permanant
 in case the chrome starts flaking off and need to be replaced for example |

Good point. I'm not sure there is much other option thatn maybe cutting the ghia shape into some double sided moulding tape and use that.

You can get adhesive pads for sticking on badges and emblems as an alternative to glue. When i got my black ford badges, they came with a 3M adhesive pad. The pad itself is pretty thin so the badge wont stick out from the panel at all. Should be easy enough to remove seeing as it isnt really a glue as such. Tried searching for it on the 3M website but cant find the thing so not sure if its still available. If you can find something similiar, it should work just fine.
They do have a product called 3M Plastic and Emblem Adhesive but it is a clear glue. Not to sure how easy it would come off with that stuff though. |

3M, double sided tape etc. would be an absolute headache to cut out to the shape of the letters.
i might have a look at super crap for some "paint safe" adhesive...... or be lazy and just use silicone

I used double sided tape from Supercheap.
And yes, it is a REAL PITA to cut lots of little pieces out to the right shape. But that is how I did it. BenJ
