That is incorrect, as Nick has said, Ford spent alot of money windtunnel testing the BA bodykits.
The GT's aero package is the culmination of hundreds of thousands of dollars of research and development, performed by the brightest minds from around the world.
I forsee extra topspeed of greatness increasing if you are the fitting of the GT spoiler to XT.

Did you conduct hundreds of hours windtunnel testing?

Kraddy - For your own safety put it back on, you are risking life and death taking the wing off.
You will upset the aerdynamics that ford worked so hard to produce in the wind tunnel, you will find your car will not handle anywhere near as good as it did with teh spoiler due to the loss of downforce

Don't end up a statistic - put it back on for your own safety!

This is all true, my uncle had tickets on himself, and took the spoiler off his BA XR8.
The first test drive, he thought he was a bit of a sick C***, and he went up the freeway onramp, gave it a bit of stick.
It was all good, till he set the cruise control, and hit a puddle of water.
The car TOOK OFF, and flipped, and all his tickets got burnt in the resulting fire.
Long story short, dont do it bro, lose the BOV, and lower taht s**t immediately.

its been proven that using cruise control in the wet is dangerous in any car.. that standard XR wing isnt gonna make much of a difference..

All of the testing to prove this was done in vehicles without a wing, I have done my own testing and discovered the spoilers provide enough downforce to counteract the effects of the 'cruise control aquaplaning take off effect' or the "CCATOE" as we in the industry call it.

You don't need to give me a tunnel for me to tell you at 120km/h you won't notice the difference.
