Need to change my XT headlights over to XR's so I can get the GT bar put on. How hard is it to take the XT lights off? Any recommendations etc on what will help reduce any f*ck ups on my behalf lol

Best bet is to take the front bar off, I think you almost need to in order to get the headlights out anyways, seeming as though you are replacing the front bar do it all at the same time and you'll be sweet

There's no hidden bolts or anything is there?

Nah i think there was only 3 points it anchored on. I think thats why you remove the front bar first so that you can get to them easily

Four 10mm bolts two on top through rad support one near where the guard bolts to the radiator support and one on the other side, pretty much one on each corner

Yeah, plus the 2 that hold the side of the flimsy brace crap, as the headlight wouldn't budge past it without undoing the 2 side bolts. Was pretty easy job, took an hour to get the front bar off, headlights out, swap globes over, and put everything back in place. Only problem is that it was still daylight, so I haven't adjusted the headlights (right headlight is aiming way too low, I can see that in the daylight) and it's now raining so I don't feel like messing with it in the rain. Tomorrow job.

I need foglights to finish off the front, then I can have it fitted 100% and painted. Are these the correct foglights? SSV doesn't have the BF GT foglights on their list of lights, so I sent them an email asking about them. If the above linked lights are indeed the correct ones, I'll be getting a pair in a fortnight when I get home from work :)

Alright, just the new globes. My only issue is the parkers... I have the globes in, but the existing connector for my XT lights, is different to the connector on the XR? I'll have it checked when I get the foglights wired up in 3 weeks.

NARVA Plus 100 LOOKS AWESOME!! Such a good spread of light, and can now see everything.

Good choice mate, yeah I had that problem with the aftermarket headlights, the parker connector was different. My panel beater some cut it a bit or used an adapter he had and all sweet. Just get genuine XR headlights and ull b sweet :-)

Meh, I got the headlights from SSV lol they look quite nice. Not really a problem tbh, only really use my parkers if it's an overcast day so I can see the speedo better... but seeing as they're not connected, no light up front but still light up cluster.

Yeah, I went for a proper drive with them tonight. The light spread was huge compared to stock globes. I could clearly see 100+ metres in front while on low beam, and high beam was just lighting everything up.
