Radiator support, as far as I know, are the same on all models (bar utes me think) and are welded on. Can be cut and re-welded...not sure if a certificate is required to prove workmanship though. Bonnet and guard should be able to be found at wreckers or ebay.

I have guards and a radiator support panel here that can be cut off.
PM me if interested.

There's plenty of welds that weld them on. Drill them out, starting with a small bit, drilling pilot holes. Then go around with a bigger bit to finish the holes off. Then you can remove the rad support & fit another.

G'day 1 strongly recommend getting a genuine one, I made the mistake of going aftermarket, and regretted it massively.
secondly trade tools etc. sell spot weld removers, there a little drill bit, that just cuts around the spot weld, leaves you something to weld to. center punch, then drill, quicker, cleaner. IMO What state are you in, remember if it's on the books, you have to allow for the wovi inspection, e.g. in QLD it's $450

Good idea on the special drill bit OZBMX. I might look into one for a project I need to undertake soon. Sounds easier than piss f@rt around like I did with std drill bits.
As for the WOVR, in vic, if the car is over 15 years old, no need to worry as Vic roads has advised they are not requiring the inspection process to be done for car's over 15yo. No idea if that's the same in NSW. Cheers ToranaGuy

{USERNAME} wrote: It's 10 years here where there is no need to take it in for an RTA inspection. But you still need a blue slip with an check by the inspector to sign off the repairs match the damage report at the RTA. It's a bit of a process but you basically have to prove where the parts came from for the repairs and that those repairs match the report. Plus your typical blue/pink slip inspection stuff. Sounds a bit like here. Just do the repairs, take some pics along the way. Keep receipts for parts, get a road worthy certificate & rock up for rego. Show pics, show road worthy. Vic roads check the numbers & issue you with rego & plates. Cheers ToranaGuy

I'm in nsw and the car isn't on a damaged vehicle register! Wasn't even a insurance claim.guy just wanted it gone after he smashed it.I've pulled the front right off the car today and the only damage it has is radiator support above headlight and inner gaurd beside airbox.doesn't look that bad,so I might just cut out the corner not the whole support panel as it's still ok apart from the corner.

Looks good aside the accident damage. Looks like it's worth fixing up. I've got a EB Xr8 in similar condition atm.
Spoke with Total tools today about a drill bit for spot welds. About $56 for the bits needed to make a quick job of spot welds. I'm picking one up on pay day. Cheers ToranaGuy

what the f**k!!!!!
$56 shop around I didn't but trade tools had a few betwen 10-20 dollars, I went the $18 one I think, could've done with a second but basically just made it through the job. could be a better design for $56 but look into it as the supposedly better quality one I got was $18-20 It was over a year ago, but it was the sort of money your talking. f**k easy enough fix. check it out may be easier to just pull and panel beat depending on the your welding skills, hard to say for sure though. Also I have a headlight assembly if you need one still.

That was for a bit, and some extra cutters, bit alone was about $25 iirc.
There's only really 2 places to get tools down my way, so not much shopping around to be done, not worth driving 30mins to get it $10 or even $15 cheaper. Petrol & time is worth more than that! Cheers ToranaGuy
