Just a quick question to all the people running HID's
Do people flash you all the time, as if you are running high beams?? I am running 6000k HID's, and get flashed all the time, until I flash them back (I have 35w, 6000k in the low beam, and 110w halogen in the high beams  )
Have I done something wrong??

Maybe it's to do with your headlights aim not the actuall brightness?

The headlights are aimed correctly tho. I had the aim lowered when I put in the HID's
any other suggestions?

perhaps its your driving hahahaha. dunno, maybe the people that flash you have sensitive eyes?

can you make them aim a little lower or does that effect your own viewing. Sometimes ppl have HID's and I can't see anything at night as I'm going past them, especially if its raining.

I had them .... had the same issues with peopl flashing .. also had issues with the HID radiation from the light burning holes in the headlight reflecter after 12 months of use .... and also the halogen reflector in the headlight cannot control the HID properly.
I fixed the problem ... and removed the illegal HID system altogether and went back to halogen. I am also running a custom set of projectors in my AU headlights ... this gives a much better beam spread than my HIDs ever did. I got the s**t with people flashing me ... I used to flash them back with my LightForce 240 driving lights though ... hee hee.

I am not going to get involved in this again.
There is a very long thread on HID on this forum do a search. All you need to know is there.

lucky you got rid of em then, au headlights are pretty good as oem, but if they arent aimed properly they blind oncoming drivers. LUCKY you didnt BEAM me I got the next size up spotties

I've HIDs (6000K) in my EL, no problems with other drivers or the coppers.
I wouldn't ever go back.
