Hi Guys,

Just wondering what some cheap mods are i could do to the EL?

I dont have a great deal of experience doing up cars, as this is my first, but i do have a few mates that are mechanics.

Keep in mind i cant do anything to the engine...legally...and would prefer any changes to be under $1500,

Thanks

I have pics in my gallery...

de-badge the car of abadges.. -very cheap! no cost!

buy 2nd hand rims 17 inch or larger on ebay.. -cheap!..

lower her on super lows..

and buy a cat back 2.5 inch sports exhaust..

should cost anywhere around $1200-$1500 all up.. -if you install the exhaust yourself to save money.. and potentialy save money if you can get a mate to install the springs..

already got a 2.5" sports exhaust on it, and i cant drop it much lower as the exhaust already hits the road in certain areas and she scrapes on speed humps occasionally as well...

other than that thanks for the ideas so far

Have you got new extractors in that exhaust system?
Just got Pacie 4499, sounds and goes heaps better.
Have a look at Crescent Motorsport head n cam packages, damn good bang for your buck. Got a new cam for autos i hear.

If you dont like the front why did you get an EL to start with when you could have bought a Fairmont or even EF?

If i had an EL i would take out the grill and put some mesh from auto barn/super cheap and also do the same with the lower grille in the front bar.

due to lack of availabilty...

its hard to find what u want in the country without going into the city and buying a car that has been ruined by stop-starting its whole life at traffic lights...
