Hey All,
I have scored a TJM bullbar for my XH, but there are no instructions to fit it.
It has two U brackets that apparently go on the front of the bumper. Does anyone know how they are bolted on? TJM don't do this type anymore!!
Cheers

can you post up a picture of the bullbar? is it a proper bullbar or one of the Outback style ones?

OK here it is. Complete with my mate the sump cleaner. Here sits under the car while I work. 9 times out of 10 he ends up with oil all over him.

OK that didn't work. It is in my images. There are 2 U brackets just behind it. Apparently they bolt onto the bumper. I have seen photos of outbacks that have similiar. I used to have a smart bar but they are a pain to fit and I like the look of this one.
Cheers

By the looks of it that bar replaces the bumper completely.
The two brackets in the pic should attach to mounts for the bumper, they look similar to the brackets that were used on our old 5 post bar.

No apparently it is supposed to go over the bar. It sits over it nicely. I just can't see how the brackets go on.
Thanks anyway

OK just tried another TJM store. They remembered how it was done.
Apparently the bumper has to come off and holes cut in it for the brackets. What a pain.
Oh well keep me busy for a few days.
(just put the bumper on last week after the rebuild!!!!) :x

Bugger.

So do the brackets attach to the reo bar and poke through?

OK went to the wreckers and they had the brackets attached to a reo bar. He just gave me the whole thing. The brackets replace the normal mounts so it bolted straight on.
Also scored the obsolete fiting instructions from TJM. They had to dig for them.
Should be on tomorrow.....touch wood.
