I picked up an EL XR top half of a bar sanded and prepped, perfectcondition ready for paint for $10 bucks...yes thats right $10 bucks :D Questionis how the hell does it fit onto the bottom half of a bar? does it clip on or something or does it have to be plastic welded or fiberglassed in?

it doesn't have to be joined at all.... it upto you.
it has its own mounts anyway so it could just be bolted on and it should follow the lines of the bar.
normally they're plastic welded in a couple of places.

I got my front bar sprayed and the guy said he had an Xr top half for sale and that i could have it for $10 bucks as he has no use for it. I asked what the catch was and he said he just didnt want it lying around anymore so i snapped it up. I dont think he realised how much they are really worth.

J has done it Andrew. I actually have step by step pics on my old PC I can grab if you want?

He cut the nose away from the bar with a jigsaw. When you pull your Gli bar off, you will see where it's joined. Cut along there, then glue the other one on with Sikaflex.

Give us a hoy if ya want some help/advice :)

Actually, before you go hacking into your bar, I'm not 100% suer the EL nose will go on the EF Gli bar. Might wanna check, as we put an EF XR nose on.
