Hmm well on closer inspection of both of my rear tyres, seems to me that im due for new tyres lol.
I dont drive like a maniac and i very rarely do burnouts etc.. But ive had these Yokohama C-Drive tyres for only 28,000kms Lol who else out thier has had C-drives run out on them quickly? Must be a real soft tyre as i dont do any skids etc... And the price of them too isnt pretty either for 15' XR rims these Yoko's set me back $165 per tyre So yeah anyone else care to share thier stories on the subject Cheers Andrew

I've heard about your burnouts, or attempted ones, ha ha! just thought i had to mention that when i read it. by the way, slightly related, i got Maxxis tyres recently with the new wheels, not a very expensive brand and i think there relatively new to doing commercial cars, but i;ve seen them on motor bikes and when i used to ride BMXs they were the ducks nuts. Anyways,m just thought I'd mention, that for a cheap tyre I'm very impressed with these, especially in the wet (and it's almost always wet ehre) |

ohh tyres i thought it was c drives as in computer hdd! LOL
almost 30k out of set of tyres is not bad.. what size are they? 16" or 17" thats about what i get out of a set, and the harder you accel/brake they will wear faster as well.

28000 isnt that great how bad is the tred left on them? Ha ha oi here we go again lol!!! Do i need to send you a pic of my car doing a big fat burnout...? ahh actually no i wont so Anyways my car runs ALOT better than it did since the clipsal cruise dude... ALOT better. Anyway i guess the fact that i like to accelerate a bit more than usual would have to contribute to the wear of my tyres. Oh well. Might get the same type tyre for the rears as i do for the fronts now. Oh btw i have 15inch tyres. And no more making fun of my burnout capabilities in the xr6

Yeah true, i mean i dont mind paying a bit for tyres but i guess what im really looking for in a tyre is a good mix of performance with relibilty and endurance etc.. Something that is sticky in the wet and sticky on everything else but costs less than $150 for each tyre and also it needs to last atleast 30,000kms minimum.... LOL is that so much to ask.
But yeah when i get new tyres rapier i will take a short 10 second film or something for ya okay, of the oldie tyres getting ripped up hardcore lol.

They're not the greatest but they grip OK and wear isnt too bad. Best you'll get for 150 IMO. Smoke em if you got em andrew

have you tried pirelli p6000, i got em in 215-65-15 on the back they grip pretty good, not tried the c drives so can't compare, and their wear rating is very good compared to c-drives.
$150ea is what i paid

Yeah i might give them a go, never tried the Pirrelli tyres before, so it should be interesting if i do for comparison sake. But ive got bigger than 215's at the rears on the XR now so i will definately be sticking with the bigger tyre.
Thats partially the reason they cost a bit more than usual

I've got some Simex 6000 or somethings on the mont... $120 each I think they were for 225/50 R16.
Actually pretty grippy too, wet and dry. They've got a fairly stiff sidewall, which is a plus in my opinion, but it means they can be a bit noisy...
