I tried the clay thing yesterday and it doesn't feel like it doing anything.
I used water as the lubricant for it but the clay bar still managed to find its way to sticking to the paint and left a few marks that took ages to rub off.

I do already look after my paint so maybe it was already clean but it sure felt like the clay bar did nothing.

Is there another way to lubricate the paint for application of the clay bar?

The clay really helped with my ef.

I used to park in an industrial area next to a fertiliser joint and used to get white fertiliser dust on my car. Was great after a wash to smooth out the etched dust.

I used a little of the auto wash Mystique in a bucket of water and that seemed to help. Does make a little difference but I wouldn't get carried away about the clay.
