get a screwdriver in between the black plastic bit on the outside edge of the light and the body of the car and carefully pry it off.

hmm weird, so say your doing the right headlight, you remove the 2 screws on the inside on the left of the light, then on the outside to the right there is the black plastic bit thats about an inch wide, get the screwdriver under the plastic, i cant remember how hard it was when i took mine off, it may need a bit of force

take the 2 screws out the give them a thump outwards, theres a plastic clip in the body and a knob on the light

are you talking about the rear indicator and stop lamps? if so there are four 8mm nuts holding it in from the inside of the car

As XRfairmont67 said, remove the 2 screws and give the lights a nice hit outwards...ie. hit from left to right for the right side and obviously the other way for the other side. No prying is needed, just hold the light with one hand once the screws are removed and hit it. The clips face left to right...so if you pull it away from the car towards the rear, you will snap them off.

its a normal sedan, the 2 screws that are easily seen are all good just feels as if there are more hidden away, ill go out again and just give the lights a whack from the inside out and see if they pop out?

I was hoping you wouldn't come back saying you snapped it haha.
