Need to remove rear skirt from rearbar, to get it resprayed.
I've taken the few screws out on each side, but it appears to be stuck/glued on,(with this black rubber matterial). Whats the best way to remove it without snapping the skirt? thanks in advance |

is it a genuine skirt (rubberish) or fibreglass?
Sounds like its fibreglass?

to cut the sikaflex ull need a very sharp knife of blade, sometimes silicon spray helps to cut (dont use if youre painting it though). gently pry them apart and cut at the same time, watch out for your hands too.

ahk cheers, ill use silicone spray because the paint on it needs to be stripped and painted a different colour, looks like its time consuming to seperate it.
When you fit a XR kit, would you need the sikaflex, or will the bolts just work fine, for the rear and side skirts? as i would like to try DIY than pay someone to fit |

genuine rear skirt shouldn't need sikkaflex unless some of the bolts/studs are broken.

Dont need the bar, just the rear skirt, bar is already on car, going fit skirt to it after a get it painted to the cars colour.
